The Organism: a live global conflict map
A live 3D globe of armed conflict. Every mark on it is a real record from a named public source, and nothing is invented to fill space.
Live now: 1,840 incidents on the map from the last 24 hours, 118,929 satellite heat detections, 344 military aircraft, 753 geolocated footage items. Updated Oct 22, 2026, 3:06 PM ET.
Layers and sources
- Armed violence, coercion, protest and threats: GDELT 2.0 news events from the last 24 hours, each checked against its source headlines before it is drawn.
- Satellite heat: NASA FIRMS VIIRS detections from the last 24 hours. Fires, flares and industry look alike from orbit, so heat is never presented as proof of a strike.
- Military and surveillance aircraft: live ADS-B positions from adsb.lol.
- Geolocated combat and strike footage: records geolocated by GeoConfirmed over the last 30 days, linked to the original posts and never hosted here.
- Satellite stills: NASA GIBS VIIRS true colour imagery in pinned cards.
- Automated licence plate reader locations: mapped by DeFlock from OpenStreetMap (ODbL). Where the cameras stand, including the Flock Safety network, as infrastructure. Position only, never footage or plate data.
